We created Rivermen Team Extreme for the select few who want to push the limits of the sport. We combine the high-intensity excitement of the Upper Gauley with smaller high-performance rafts, and meld them together with a common element - hard-core river junkies who want to run the most difficult and aggressive lines on the river!
Our most experienced guides will provide expert river guiding skills and rescue clinics that go beyond the normal scope of commercial rafting. You decide if you can handle it!
Team Extreme is available in small 14' rafts with 6 paddlers (R6), or smaller 12' rafts with 4 paddlers (R4).
High AdventureR6
- Uses smaller 14' rafts
- Rafts hold 6 guests plus guide
- Standard safety orientation/paddling instruction
- Runs conventional routes and adjusts trips to match crew's desires and abilities
- Minimum Age: 16
- Prior rafting experience not required but recommended on the Upper Gauley
- Intense Participation Required
Team ExtremeR4
- Uses smaller 12' rafts
- Rafts hold 4 guests plus guide
- Extensive safety orientation/paddling instruction including raft flip drills
- Runs most aggressive routes and adjusts trips to match crew's desires and abilities
- Minimum Age: 18
- Prior Class V rafting experience, excellent health and ability to calmly respond to adverse and difficult whitewater situations
- Extremely intense participation required
