Rivermen Safety
Every year, we guide thousands of whitewater enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels down the New and Gauley Rivers. Since we want you to become one of those enthusiasts, your safety is our primary concern. Our guides are constantly in training, practicing the latest techniques and fine-tuning their skills. They will provide instruction both before and during your trip; ask as many questions as you like at any time. We encourage you to develop a team spirit with the others in your raft, learning and working together to conquer the challenges the River offers. We recommend active participation for fun as well as safety, regardless of the trip you take or the level of skill you possess. However, the more difficult the trip, the greater the need for intense participation. We cannot allow anyone impaired by drugs or alcohol to go on any of our trips. No refunds will be given!

Trip Ratings
As a trip organizer, it is important that you select a trip, which is appropriate for your group's age range, ability, experience, and fitness level. Use our "Trip Rating System" to help you determine which trip is right for your group. Seek professional medical advice if you or any members of your group are significantly overweight, in poor physical condition, pregnant, or have a medical condition.
