Family Whitewater means you can expect Class I,II & III Rapids with mild to moderate rapids and a leisurely pace. You'll won't be required to paddle through the rapids and though rafters should be at least 6, they won't need prior rafting experience.
Upper New River
Looking for something the whole family can enjoy together? Try our Upper New River adventure! This trip travels through exceptionally scenic canyons on relatively calm water with a few easy rapids and plenty of places for playing or just hanging out. We'll select the best section available, depending on the water level and a few other factors. This is the perfect trip for families with young children who aren't ready for the more difficult Lower New River. And you can always spice things up by paddling your own inflatable duck. Or plan to spend the evening on the river with an Upper New River Overnighter for an all around outdoor experience.
What Is A Duck? "Ducks" are inflatable, one-man crafts shaped somewhat like kayaks. Our ducks are self-bailing, which means water that splashes in will drain out. They are stable, easy to maneuver, and most of all, a blast! You'll get to experience a more personal whitewater challenge and have the experience of a lifetime. Ducks can be brought along with any Upper New trip. Try this one-on-one whitewater challenge!
