World-Class Whitewater means you can expect Class III,IV & V Rapids with exciting waves and holes requiring focus and vigourous participation. Prior rafting experience is recommended and paddlers should be at least 16 to participate.
You'll see and experience each section of the Gauley River on this trip, just not the way Mother Nature intended! Your first taste of the Gauley will be on the Middle/Lower section learning the complexities of the river and coming to understand what 'Big Volume' means in whitewater terms. You'll get your feet wet on this section, both literally and figuratively! Once initiated, you'll graduate to the powerful Upper section on Day 2 to test your river running skills on more than 40 rapids - 5 of them Class V's!
